What is CBD?
CBD or cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the cannabis family of plants.
What is a cannabinoid?
A cannabinoid is just a fancy term to identify a group of closely related compounds – just like how humans are classified as mammals, and celery is classified as a vegetable.
What does broad spectrum CBD mean?
Broad spectrum CBD can be classified as refined or filtered CBD. It contains the same cannabinoids and terpenes of full spectrum CBD—except for THC which is filtered out.
What is CBD isolate?
CBD isolate is just what the name suggests—it’s an isolated form of CBD. Unlike full or broad-spectrum CBD which contains a range of cannabinoids, CBD isolate only contains pure CBD—no added terpenes or flavonoids.
What is full spectrum CBD?
Full spectrum CBD is CBD that contains all its cannabinoids—including THC. It tends to have a stronger scent and flavor compared to other forms of CBD.
Is CBD legal?
Thanks to the Farm Bill, industrial hemp was made legal as long as it contains below .3% THC. Sky Organics uses broad spectrum CBD derived from industrial hemp. Though this should make it automatically legal every state has their own set of laws regarding the use of CBD. There are lots of gray areas and it’s best to check your state and local laws before purchasing!
Can CBD get me high?
No way! Unlike THC—CBD is non-psychoactive meaning it has no chance of getting you high.
Is CBD oil and hemp oil the same thing?
No. Hempseed oil doesn’t contain cannabinoids and comes from oil extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. CBD oil is extracted from hemp leaves or flowers and does contain cannabinoids. Many companies try to be sneaky and market hempseed oil as CBD oil, so it’s important to pay close attention to the ingredient list. True CBD oil is usually listed as either cannabinoid oil or phytocannabinoid-rich oil, while hempseed oil is listed as cannabis sativa seed oil.
